What counts as a free pop-up?
A free pop-up is a short-run event you can walk into without paying — a brand taking over a shop for a week, a beauty bar giving mini treatments, a sample sale with no entry fee, a gallery in a shipping container. If it's temporary, in London, and free to get through the door, it belongs on this list.
Where to find them this week
The densest clusters are usually Soho and Shoreditch, but pop-ups move fast — Peckham, King's Cross and Notting Hill all get their moments. Pin the map and check back the night before you head out; the freshest drops often only announce a day or two ahead.
How to not miss the good ones
Save anything that catches your eye — we'll nudge you when it's opening day. The free pop-ups that go off are usually the ones with a tight run (three days or less), so the window is small. If you see a pin you like, save it now.
